LAURA LAU

​柳淑敏

Laura has been a member of Canadian Ging Wu since 2009. Her weapon of choice is the three sectional. Laura plays an integral role in leading kids, adults, and lion dance classes. She helps with organizing demos and leading the team to a successful performance. She is currently studying at the University of Alberta.

ANDY NGU

​伍进辉

Andy has been a member of Canadian Ging Wu since 1997. His weapon of choice is the nunchucks, and he also specializes in Sanda and kickboxing. After taking a long break, Andy is now focusing on student development at Ging Wu. Outside of Ging Wu, he spends his time developing his skills on logo design and drawing. 

MELVIN HA

Melvin has been a part of Ging Wu for a very long time. His preferred weapon is the broadsword. Melvin is an important member of the lion dance team and can be found helping out with Kung Fu and lion dance performances. He is currently focusing on his career as a pharmacist. 

DOMINIC VU

​​

Dominic has been a part of Ging Wu for a long time. His preferred weapon is the monk spade. Dominic usually helps out with performances and lion dances, but is currently taking a break due to an injury. Outside of Ging Wu, Dominic is either working or studying at the University of Alberta.

DAVID VU

​​

David came to Canada in 1980, and graduated from NAIT, Architectural Technology in 1987. He opened his first restaurant in 1999. David joined the Canadian Ging Wu Kung Fu in 2008, and achieved his black sash level in 2016. He currently owns three Hoang Long restaurants with his wife. David is a proud father of two and a half children (a daughter, a son and a son-in-law), and a grandfather of two grandchildren. He is training harder to become an Instructor Assistant.

ALAN NGU

Alan has been a member of Canadian Ging Wu since 2000. His favourite weapon is his hands as he specializes in Sanda and kickboxing. Alan is usually volunteering as an instructor with the adults class and helps out with performances. If Alan is not at Ging Wu, he is either working out at the gym, studying for school, travelling, or hanging out with his friends and family.

RICHARD HUYNH

Richard has been a member of Canadian Ging Wu since 2008 and has played a role as a student and an assistant instructor. His weapon of choice is the nunchucks and the tiger fork. Richard can be found helping out with Kung Fu performances, lion dances, or instructing adult classes. He is currently studying in Montreal and plans to come back to Ging Wu by the end of 2020.

ANH LE

Anh has been a member of Canadian Ging Wu since 2008. Her weapons of choice are the double broadswords and the 9 sectional chain whip. Anh helps lead kids class and adults class, and she helps with performances and tournaments. She is currently a pharmacist student studying at the University of Alberta 

VINCENT LAU

Vincent has been a member of Canadian Ging Wu since 2009. His favourite weapons are the staff and the rope dart. Vincent helps lead kids class and adults class, and helps out with performances and tournaments. Vincent is an important member of the lion dance team. He is currently studying at the University of Alberta.
